I thanked you on the day for the lovely music at the ceremony and in the background during the reception, but I’d like to thank you again. We enjoyed it immensely – the choice of music that was played and the quality of your playing. Please extend our thanks also to your colleague on the trumpet. I will always remember the fanfare for Sophie and my husband to walk slowly down the aisle. Thank you for helping to make the day. It really was excellent.

Tim played the organ during our church wedding service, and did a brilliant job! We’d requested a challenging mix of gospel and baroque organ pieces, which were superbly played, and made the ceremony complete. The wedding guests were extremely complimentary about the music and Tim’s playing – I would certainly recommend his organ playing at your wedding!

Tim’s powerful rendition of Clair de Lune during our wedding ceremony was incredibly moving and brilliantly played, as were the other pieces he performed to keep the waiting guests entertained. Later in the evening his jazz arrangements of our favourite rock songs topped the day off and got everyone dancing. Thanks Tim for adding so much to our wedding day.

Tim played the piano beautifully throughout our wedding breakfast, playing a variety of music. Everyone commented on how wonderful he played. It was a pleasure to hear him play and made our reception complete. We would highly recommend Tim to anyone. Thank you Tim for playing and making a special day that little bit more.

A fabulous pianist. Played the organ beautifully at our wedding and treated our guests to wonderful piano music at the venue afterwards.

GHT-1010Tim’s rendition of George Harrison’s “Something” was, for me, the highlight of a stupendous Concert for George on August 1st 2009 at St. George’s Hall in Liverpool. He is not only an incredibly talented musician but a very likeable young man who happily gave his time for Charity. I could think of nothing better than to have him play at one of my sons’ weddings – should they ever decide to tie the knot! Thank you again Tim for giving of your gift to For George – and I know our paths will cross again. With thanks and kind regards,

Denise Theophilus, Concert Director, ‘For George’

Dear Tim, you certainly helped make our evening reception at Rhodes House a resounding success, and at such short notice! The piano music was great – a varied selection to suit all tastes – which created a lovely atmosphere for our (mostly overseas) guests. I would have no hesitation in contacting you again, should the opportunity arise.

Choosing suitable music for the annual rowing club dinner presents a significant challenge. Tim’s varied repertoire of piano music was a joy to listen to and created the perfect atmosphere for the evening.

Pianist/composer Tim Croston played two solo pieces … the second a Two-part Invention, a form borrowed from the baroque where one hand repeats what the other has played in the previous bar. This was mind-bogglingly impressive technically – and the melding of baroque structure, blues chords and something a bit like Squarepusher was surprisingly listenable … An impressive showcase from a selection of performers aiming very, very high.

Tim played his Two-part Invention, some beautiful Shostakovich and Beethoven’s Waldstein as a recital and then played jazz as we relaxed into the evening. Thanks for playing for us – just what I wanted.
